Description
NiRAN family of viral pseudokinases. The NiRAN domain transfers nascent RNA to GDP, using an RNA-nsp9 intermediate, and ultimately forming the core RNA cap structure: GpppA-RNA. Then, nsp14 and nsp16 methyltransferases add methyl groups to form functional cap structures [PMID: 35944563].
