APH family includes a group of bacterial antibiotic resistance proteins such as aminoglycoside 3'-phosphotransferase or kanamycin kinase/neomycin-kanamycin phosphotransferase which confer resistance to various aminoglycosides by inactivating aminoglycoside antibiotics via phosphorylation [PMID: 2163618, PMID: 2167474]. In addition, this family includes homoserine kinase and is related to fructosamine kinase PKLF000016.
